What is social responsibility? What level were you during our lesson and why?

Social responsibility is when you take responsibility for you action what you are socializing with others. I was level two because i followed and listen to the directions that I was given by the teacher but I didn't really participate.

What could you do in order to improve your social responsibility for the next lesson?

I could work better and communicate better with the class. I could listen to what others have to say and take what they have to say into consideration and work better in the class.

Today for p.e we played a game called ultimate frisbee. The rules for this game were, no running when the frisbee is in your hand, no touching/hitting the person who is holding the frisbee. Mr Cunard also gave us some tips on how to catch the frisbee.

Today I think that I was a level 1 because I wasn’t participating in the same way others were. I wasn’t trying my hardest in the activity. To work on this I need to motivate myself to be more energetic so I can participate at the same level as everyone else. To reach the next level I need to work harder in everything I do so that It impacts on the way I do things. I need to work harder on communicating with others and I need to work on participating with my class when it’s time to get up and play.

I did enjoy playing this game though. I think if we played this game again I would be more motivated and ready to participate with everyone else at the same level.

 Today we had ICT. we had done a bit of coding and it was a lot of fun. one thing we had to do was code our games by giving the characters directions on where to move.This help the characters move forward, left, right, and repeat.I learned that coding is really fun if you try. I was really enjoying how i found it hard at time but successfully winning the level in the end.

Chicken fried rice

Today we made chicken fried rice.we all struggled to keep up with each other and we did a lot of talking.in the end it tasted very nice and yum.

Im not to sure that a cylinder would make a good shape for a juice box but it is very creative.I cant wait to create more shapes.

Rock cakes

Today we made some rock cakes. I was a bit hard for everyone because we all had different textures with our dough. Everybody's rock cakes came out different but I think ours looked the best. It was very simple to make and It only took us 50 minuets to make it. They may not look like your normal rock cakes and more like cookies or pancakes but we are very proud.

Hot cakes

This week we made hot cakes. I was a real challenge because the person next to me was having trouble in the start so i didn't know if I should go help or just carry on doing my work. I really enjoyed the outcome because it looked really good and the taste of the hot cakes was really nice.

Fry Bread

Today we made Fry Bread.For the first time we made this it turned out great. I really enjoyed making this and I hope we get the chance to make more Delicious  food like this again.

Cooking Quiche

Today in cooking we made mini quiche. I was a fun experience I really enjoyed making it. It took a lot of time to process but In the end it looks and taste great. My partner was Trinity. We struggled to get all the ingredient together because we were a bit behind but when it was time to cook we got it all in. This is a photo of what we made.

Why are businesses important

Why are businesses important. Businesses are important because they provide us with thing that we need for example Pak n save  provides us with food and groceries that we need. Businesses are important because they provide people with jobs like working at pak n save. When working at pak n save you can work at the checkout area the deli and more. Having businesses are important because they are what helps us.

Today we mad Ham and cheese macaroni with Mrs Tuipolotu in food tech. When we were making this we felt really nervous, my food partner was Trinity. We were in the 3 kitchen. Here is a photo of what we made.

Amazing talk with Mr Patterson and Raenon

Today is 11th of December. We had another inspiring talk with Andrew Patterson. This time he had a special guest with him and that was Raenon. The talk today was about learning what it was like to be going to collage. Raenon was talking about how different collage is to primary. My favorite part about the talk today was when Raenon was telling us about how collage was different to primary. He also said the the homework there is harder to what we do in primary. What Raenon had said tosay has inspired me to do the same. There was anothother aprt in the talk today the was also a good idea for the year eights next year and that was to set a goal. My goal would be simalar to what Raenons goal
was. I really enjoyed the talk today.

Our Emotions

For the past few weeks on Fridays we have been working on emotions. We had to create a presentation with emotions with music. The presentation that you see has six emotions. It has happy, sad, angry, disgust, scared and calm.It was really fun working on this and I cant wait to do more.

Free Writing

I thought that I would do something funny and make some poems. These are two people that are important to me. There are many more but these two were the first one who poped up in mind.I found it really easy to write about them. I have made the ends rhyme and that's what I like about writing poems.

Lady Esme - stolen fire gem

This week Mr Wiseman gave a link to the story that we had to read and also our presentation. I was finding it a bit difficult but as soon as I asked Danielle for help I started getting the hang of things.I really enjoyed working with Danielle. This was a good challenge for me and I cant wait to do more.

WOW Pt England School

                                                            

Pt England has been showing there own movies every year in front of the whole school. Knowing that every one tried to make there movie entertaining makes them interesting to watch. It was fun watching some of the movies at Silvia Park hoping that later on I could watch the rest of the schools movies. It seems that my wish came true. Pt England school has been showing there movies every year to the rest of the school for the past five years.These are two movies that my class has showed at the maniakalani film festival.

This is hard work - Word Problems

This week the group that I am in tapaono were working on a presentation about word problems. We worked very hard individually and with partners.I found it challenging at first but then I got the hang of things.

Fairy tale telling

Once upon a time lived three clever pigs. They all loved each other very much but  they wanted to live separately.

One day they decided to build their own  individual houses. The youngest pig made the choice to build his house out of straw not knowing that out in the woods there was a hungry beast  that had observed him. As soon as he was done building his house the beast decided to move in. The beast  knocked on the door and said “little pig little pig let me in”. The pig replied “not by the hair on my chinny chin chin” The beast  then told him “Then I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house in”.The beast had then blown the little pig's house down so the little pig ran to his brother's house. While running the little pig was squealing for his life.

The second oldest pig had wanted to build his house out of sticks. As the little pig approached his door he saw the beast chasing after his brother. He then hurried his brother up and slamed the door behind him.The beast was right behind him. The beast repeated himself and said “ Little pigs little pigs let me in”. In reply they said “Not by the hair on our chinny chin chins”. “Then I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house in”,  repeated the beast. He blew the house made of sticks down. The two little pigs ran to their older brothers house.

The two little pigs had ran to his house. He had just finished building his house out of brick. They had closed the door right behind them. The beast had said it one more time “ Little pigs little pigs let me in”. Once again the little pigs said “ Not by the hair on my chinny chin chin”.  So the beast tried his hardest to blow the house down but he couldn't. The beast got tired and stopped. The beast wasn’t satisfied with what he did. He then gave up. He was upset and ran away.  The three little pigs lived happily ever after.

All about Orchestra

For the last few weeks we have been learning about orchestra. Orchestra is a big group of instruments. I found this challenging to do. I also learn a lot of new things. It was very interesting to find out what an orchestra is. I really liked learning about this.
