In the community that I live in there are a few special places but there is one special place that I like to call home. My home is special to me because it make me feel relaxed. Being relaxed at home make me feel like i'm in a special place.

To me it is special to me because I am with my family. Being at home with my family makes me feel like being myself.  Home is a place I live so that in special.

Being at home can be soothing and helpful. It can be soothing to me because it helps me calm down when I am feel angry or something. At home it makes me want to help clean the house because of a special feeling inside of me.

One more thing about being at home is that when I am at home I like to go into the other rooms to get better of knowing where everything is. Sometimes I like to walk around to feel better.

Home make me myself because it is very special. It is going to be my number one special place.

In my community I have a few special places but the one I love most is home. Home is special to me because it makes me feel more relaxed. Being at home and relaxing make me convertible.

To me home is special because my family lives there. Being at home with my family makes me feel like myself. Home is where I act like myself because I am more relaxed.

At home  is helps me be calm down when I get angry. It can also be soothing when I feel sad. At home sometimes I like to help out and wash the dishes and clean my room.

One more thing about being at home is that when I feel like I don’t know the place I walk around.I walk around to get to know the place even though I moved into the house just at the end of last year.

My home make me be myself and I is amazing.It will always be my number one special place.

Our Amazing Trip To PolyFest

On Thursday the 16th of March our year seven and eight students went on a trip to Poly fest. We had organised three busses to take us to Poly fest. It took about half an hour to get there and once we had arrived we walked to the centre and sat down. Not long after we had sat down and another school had sat down.Once all the schools had arrived each class had one tour guide. Our tour guide was showing us some of the place the would give us some learning time.I could remember two of the places which were the Police area and the ASB truck.
One of the highlights that I enjoyed from poly fest was going to watch the Maori stage. The Maori stage was breathtaking because of the way they showed they wanted to be there. They sang their loudest and that was what I liked the most about the Maori stage.

Another highlight from poly fest was watching the cook island speeches. The Cook Island Speeches were outstanding even though I didn’t understand what they were saying. I liked that they tried there best to try and say it proudly.

My last highlight of poly fest was the diversity stage. They were astonishing with the way the worked as a team and had fun while doing it.They looked like they were enjoying their dance because I could see that they were laughing.

After we had seen the stages and looked at the stalls it was time to go. We were ready to go so we walked to the bus at head back to school. When we had got back to school we walked inside and it was 2.30pm. Mrs Tele’a was telling us about how great we were at being responsible. We sang a song to the helpers for helping us at poly fest. After that we all went home and had a big rest.

This week I have been practising place value.I have learned different ways to use place value.It was hard at first but then I started working with a buddy and it got a bit easier

Visual Mihi

My mihi is about what I love and what I am proud of.I am proud of my culture witch is niuean and maori. I love my family a lot and that is why I have written family for one part of my mihi. The niuean Flag stands for my niuean culture and I am proud of that. The maori flag stands for my maori culture and I'm proud of that. The flowers are just because I like the smell of flowers and that they look wonderful.
