ART GALLERY RECOUNT

On Tuesday at lunch time room 7 and room 10 went to Te Tuhi Art Gallery.  

Once we got there we had to sit down and listen to the art teacher and her name was Charlotte. She explained the rules and she took us to the studio where we were going to do our art.

First we had to put on an apron and then sat at a table.  Charlotte took through the steps to do the artwork and showed us what it would look like when it is finished.

When we got our papers we had to crush it up, then carefully open it so that it won’t rip. Then we have to use side of a pastel to shade the squares.  

Then we put some brown dye to cover the whole piece of paper.  We then left to dry before we drew our patterns which was something about ourselves.

When we completed our patterns we had to use dark brown dye to highlight our patterns in two of the four squares.

Finally we finished the artwork so we had to wash our hands and then Charlotte took us for a tour around the gallery and we played a game called who can find the art work.

In conclusion I thought the trip to the Art Gallery was really fun and interesting for everyone. I hope we could go there another time.

HAIKU POEM

Today we have been learning to make a HAIKU poem in class.  A HAIKU is a poem with 3 lines.The first line must have 5 syllables.The second line must only have 7 syllables and the last line should have 5 syllables.They don't have to rhyme.We have to come up with a noun to write about then we have to come up at least 3 adjectives which we will use in our poem.  It was a challenge for me because I have to choose my words carefully but I had good fun doing it with my friends.

Ingredients

2 cups flour

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

½ cup milk

Thing to use

1 bowl

1 wisk

mini doughnut maker

spoon

Steps

First put the 2 cups of flour in the bowl.

Next pour the sugar into the bowl as well.

Then add the 2 eggs to make it doughy.

After putting all that in start mixing the flour, sugar and eggs together.

After that if your mixture is like dough then add the ½ cup of milk slowly while mixing.

When you are finished the batter you can maybe put some food colouring in if you want to make them colourful.

Finally start using your spoon to fill the doughnut shape and let them cook.

Then you have coloured doughnuts or normal coloured.

Hi my name is Trinity and  I am 9 years old.I was born in 2005.I am the eldest out of 3 children.My  teacher’s name is Mrs. Tu’akoi. I have one sister and one brother. My friends    are Nataliya, Jenascia, Heather, Noma, Kuraia, Angel, Lakai, Vasa, Ange, Ketura and Tuakana.
